O'Ukos Again

Another photo of O'Ukos. As we were having such fun with the new light box and endless white background it seemed unfair to leave out my favorite model. This time more of the model behind the shield is visible. As you can see the Forgeworld sculpt is beautiful, but I had to use lots of green stuff to fill all the gaps in the model where the pieces join. Crisis suits are awful for that. Also I didn't like the Forgeworld plasma rifle very much, it was too spindley, so I gave him a cut-down barrel and added the fuel cells and venting block from the plastic version. Also towards then end of the modeling process I decided his right shoulder looked too bare so I added a drone antenna and moulded it in. Since then I have made it standard for all my crisis suits to have somthing on each shoulder, in the case of Shas'Vre and above, I model all hardwired systems on, bt for models with only three items of wargear allowed I give them extra antennae or something.
