Vindicare

The Vindicare Assassin. Now this guy is elusive. Seriously. I remember seeing him in Fanatic, back when it was paper bound, and nearly creaming my pants in joy, he's been a firm favorite of mine since he was fist made, and the idea of having him in Inquisitor scale made me very happy. But alas, it was not to be. He was never officially released, as I understand it they cracked the mold, and Specialist Games simply don't generate enough revenue to replace it, so they never officially released him and he never appeared on the website. I was gutted, but moved on with my life and made a different model to fulfill the sniper shaped hole in my heart. Then GW started playing silly buggers and removed all of the less popular Inquisitor models form their website. This was pretty vexing, as there were several that I wanted but hadn't got round to buying. Fortunately my friend discovered that they were still available on non-uk websites, perhaps they had some stock left or something, who knows, and so he ordered some from there. So when it came time for me to buy a Water Caste Envoy I checked out the US store and bought him, but whilst I was here who should I notice but this little chappy, jumping up and down saying, "buy me, buy me!" How could I resist.

When it came time to paint him however I struggled. I couldn't bring myself to give him any detail, any metal or bright colours to give his position away, it just wouldn't be a Vindicare. So he got a dark bodysuit with grey detailing. I put a lot of effort into it, but it's basically just black highlighted to grey, with a few bits picked out in slightly different grey. The camo cloak gave me a bit more fun. The observant will notice that it blends from green at the top to the same colour as the rocks and gravel on his base at the bottom.
